Technician’s Notes
Please note that you have to remove the logic board from your old disc drive and install it into this disc drive for it to work with your Wii-U. This step is because there is a key on your old disc drive logic board that makes it work only with your board. There are some screws and ribbon cables that have to be removed but this process is fairly easy as we explain it on our video below.
